Hi all,

I've been using MP 0.2.2.0 for a while now to watch films etc but recently dug out an old V-Stream X-pert DTV DVB-T PCI card to try and watch/record some TV with MP. I couldn't find the CD though so I've tried hunting around and found some drivers on a kworld.com.tw site however these refused to load saying the device could not be found. I let windows try its automated thing and it found two conexant drivers but device manager says there's still two more unknown devices on the card. MP Config can see the card in the TV bit but I can't add any channels etc (there's no UK/Britain in import settings). Can anyone give me some help? I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Specs:
Win XP Pro SP2
P4 1.5Ghz
512Mb SDRAM
Geforce 4 MX

OK, I've got the card to work, got Media Portal to scan for channels and added them all. Yet whenever I try to watch a channel I just get a black screen, any advice?

EDIT: Nevermind, got it all to work now except for the program guide which I'm going to plug away at a bit more. Thanks for the help PD.

Should take epg from TV stream, if useing TVE3 can take a hour before you see anything.

What are the advantages to running v3 compared to whatever is currently included? I'm just looking to run a single media system so how would it affect me overall?

TVE3 is run as a service, so MP does not have to run to get\do recording\epg data, its a minimal thing and overall would say TVServer now reliable as have had running a week without fail and MP itself has crashed 5 times, which would lose TV recordings, this is the future after final release of MP 0.2.3.0.

All MP does is connect to the TVE3 service for playback\Setup of recordings. watch the installation video's located from documentation on homepage.
