Very long delay before playing (My Films 4.8.0c) (1 Viewer)

Before posting, I search in this forum for a similar issue without success. Perhaps I'm the only one who have a such issue

I have to wait about 30 seconds to 1 minutes the first time I start playing a video from My Films plugin. Next times My Films starts the video faster, about 20s (but not fast enough!)
The same videos with My Video MP plugin start playing instantly.
All the videos are accessible through windows share (SMB).

mabe you have configured "search path" in mymovies and the plugin doesn't find the movie by the configured path?
searching takes quite some time.
to test this, delete the search path and check if you still can launch the movie. check your myfilms config.

"search path" field is empty. The only setting in "Play Movie Infos" is the "Ant Item Storage File Info" which is URL.

You can test with a amc database of only one film

Are you defining the movie in the URL of your catalogue, or just the folder?

Hi all,

I made tests regarding your advises. Using an AMC database with one film gave the same issue. Have a look to the log file below.

o0X0o: I define the file name with the complete path. You can see it in the log file.

MP "hangs" 101 seconds just before "VideoPlayerVMR9: Setting DirectVobsub parameters". Next all playing start in 4 seconds since I reboot my HTPC.

So I decided to set the log file to debug level. Since, I wasn't able to reproduce this freeze. I set back the debug level to information, and the issue has still disappear. I don't understand

So, wait and see, hoping this issue has really disappear.
