    Hi,

Where do you thing I should start investigating for this issue? I've got maybe 5 fps (no matter the skin I use) in UI transitions. I've got latest hardware, so no CPU or graphips (NVIDIA) power problems. I'm using EVR under Vista, and I have no problems watching TV or Videos-Movies (very smooth playback). I only "see" this effect within UI transitions.

    Thank you!

Inside MP you can go to general setup or something. There you can influence the scrolling speed/max fps.
In my case, the max fps was standard set at 15 or something. This caused an insane judder. I cranked this value up to 65fps and the problem was gone. Now it is nicely in sync with the refreshrate of my TV.

Thanks edterbak. That helped me to achive 50 hz (my actual refreshrate) and improve smoothness, but anyway, under some circumstances, MP UI starts going under 5 fps, I don't really know why... I'll try to see what do I do, that leads into this problem.

project2501, I use nod32, so I'll try to play with it. Thanks!

Be sure you did not install a remote management software like UltraVNC or realVNC. The mirror video driver of these packages cause similar problems.

I'm using Famatech Radmin, which installs also this mirror driver... Anyway, it only slows down if I'm connected to that machine using Radmin...

    bye!

    Hope you are right.
As I wrote I had all different kind of issues regarding refresh rates until I completely uninstalled the mirror divers for ultraVNC. Maybe radmin is better on this regard.

    Hello Grubi,

What kind of problem did you experience ?

I'm fighting against an old problem on my HTPC that could be related to the Mirror Driver of Radmin (Famatech), please check :

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/1-0-final-svn-builds-303/animation-slowing-down-time-52527/

peque : Are you using the old version 2.1 or a more recent one (3.x) like I do.

In the past (version 2.1) I could control MP remotly with that tool because it was using some method that was ok to display DirectX applications. The version I'm using now, 3.1, doesn't allow you to do that and it seems that it may cause problem over time as you can see in the above linked post.

My problems were related to the mirror driver of ultraVNC. The problem was that on some screens in MP I did not achive the desired frame rates (sometimes below 20 fps). After removing the driver problems were gone.

CHli, I use 3.1 version of Famatech Radmin... 2.1 is not compatible with Vista. Anyway, I don't run MP for days, because I'm using powerscheduler, and reboot MP each time HTPC resumes from standby.
