VFD Display plugin (1 Viewer)

Hi you all,

I am owner of a futaba mdm166a VFD display. Currently, I am working on a driver for this display. Up to now it was just playing around with this display but now I have installed Mediaportal and would like to use this display with my PC.

my question:
Could someone please give me a hint how to retrieve e.g. information about the text of a button, which holds the focus in Mediaportal to show it in the VFD display?

I had a look into the contribute section (developer's guide), but got no hint how to do it.

Maybe someone of you could help with some C# code snippets or a howto?
