VHS to hard drive (1 Viewer)

I did a search but didn't see anything on topic.


I'm willing to accept VHS picture quality until I can replace our extensive VHS library with DVD.

What's the best way to transfer VHS tapes to hard drive for MP? Is there a way to do it without losing Hi-Fi sound?

Assuming you have a TV Tuner card, just plug the VCR into the input RCA jacks, and add the external channel to your TV channel list in MP config. Then tune to the external channel, press play on the VCR, and press record in MP.

Don't you need an analogue TV-Card fpr doing it that way?
