The problem sometimes also happens when playing recorded TV files. This is all SD DVB-T (UK Freeview), so MPEG-2 video/Layer 2 audio.</p><p></p><p>A reliable workaround/fix for the problem is to skip forward (using the right arrow key) to the end of the timeshift buffer - this puts the video and audio back in sync (and they then stay in sync until the next channel change).</p><p></p><p>The problem doesn't happen with other video and DVD playback - it seems to happen only when the 'tsreader.ax' filter is used to read the files, and then only when playback is first started i.e. it appears to be a stream startup problem involving 'tsreader.ax'.</p><p></p><p>I assume that the 'skip forward' workaround forces the streams to be re-synchronised - maybe since the filtergraph is running at this point the filter latencies are known and can be compensated for more easily ?</p><p></p><p>I've tried various codec combinations, but although this can change the exact behaviour, it doesn't fix it.</p><p></p><p>Anyone else have (or had) the problem ?</p><p></p><p>Tony</p></blockquote><p></p>
