Video Buffer for Internal Player (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have been running MP 1.03 for a couple of months with the media running off the internal HDD. I have installed a NAS and whenever I play a video from it the delay (due to buffering I assume) is excessive. Is there any way of reducing the buffer for the internal MP player or will I need to start using an external player.

MediaPortal itself is not using any buffering for video files. All buffering that is done is done by the directshow source filters and it shouldnt be long. Sounds like there is some other issue what is causing the long delay. Could you post MediaPortal.log that shows the slowness?
