Hi, when I go to play video clips (Divx or Xvid) They're play just fine but at random times will skip back to the beginning or sometimes to another part of the video I've never had this problem before.. I tried unplugging the wireless IR to the mouse/keyboard with no luck! Sometimes a video will play just fine but not all the time! This is the first itme I've ever had a problem like this any suggestions please? thanks!!

You're absolutely sure you're speaking of Mpeg4 files? Not maybe recordings, etc?

Yea They're mostly TV series episodes I encoded from My DVDs etc.. They work perfectly on My desktop using Media player classic also it does it with Mpeg 1 videos pretty much any video I try to play it does it :( I've tried everything I can think of! I even tried re-installing Windows XP twice no luck could it be the ATI driver? thanks!

*Edit* Forgot to mention when I was running MCE They played perfectly on there but for some reason this problem is only in MP i always install from a clean source ie the setup.exe :p

Hmm I haven't removed the driver, but the IR for the MCE remote doesn't have software it used XP's driver I also noticed whenever it does this it'll show the mouse cursor even when I have the mouse/keyboard completely unplugged. I wish ATI would release a new driver! Though that might not be the problem its the only thing I can think of though :(

What's the problem, mouse showing or Video jumping to various points, usually caused by mouse\keyboard driver from a 3rd party (have had this if i install logitech software).

Would recommend seeing if this is your problem by uninstalling any unknown mice\keyboards with device manager, making sure you have a wired keyboard\mouse to hand just in case you uninstall the one your using.

I haven't any 3rd party driver or software installed for my keyb/mouse, and I have recently changed both and the issue is just here... the problem is as you described, mouse showing or Video jumping to various points, the jump is allways forward about 5 minutes (as when I press 'up' key to jump forward 5 minutes)...

I'm about to leave using mp only for this *#@´kin mattergrrrrrr :(
