I've recently started using MP and found it to be the best MediaCenter application I've tested yet. One problem I've had since I installed it is the controls at the top of the screen (play, ff, rw, stop, etc) that are present in every other part of MP aren't visible when watching a video. I would assume that they should be.

Any suggestions?

In this screenshot that i happened to find while looking for a remote for MP, there are controls for the video, they're not in the same place as they are in the rest of media center but oh well. what skin is this? is this an old version? how can i get video controls?

you are right the video control overlay was altered in the last official release. there are no more any buttons to control the playback. videos and dvds can only be controlled by remote/keyboard. i think it would be an improvement to regain the buttons, but you can also use a different skin...
