Greetings.
I do know, we have a "working" skype-plugin for audio(/video) chats, BUT I was wondering, if one could develope something different. From my point of view, the biggest problem is skype itself- each time the main program gets altered, the plugin stops working or malfunctions...
I don`t like the fact, that we have to rely on this closed source- and having a free alternative might be a big step towards using video/audio chat in your livingroom.
To be precise, I was thinking of an integration of "Ekiga Softphone" ( formely known as Gnome Meeting )
Ekiga ~ Free your speech.
It does support H.323 and SIP protocols, it`s open source, a client for win32 does exist. All you need is a free sip adress ( e.g. from ekiga.net ).
Allas, my .net skills are less than basic- is there somebody who wouldn`t mind to take a look at the sources and guess the effort?
thx in advance and please do discuss this
