I have been getting some progress in this.The problem is the audio track. I extracted the MKV file and put it back together without the audiotrack.Now it plays fine but without audio offcourse.So mediaportal uses other audiosettings in ffdshow then wmp???ffdshow handles the audiotrack just fine when played in WMP but crashes the player in mediaportal????how is this possible? The easy way is to recode the audio track and merge it again with the video but that's just evading the problem.I would like to really fix it.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.</blockquote>
