Hi all,
First time post here. I've had a look on the site, and haven't found anything that I could say describes the problem I am having.
I have just installed the latest revision of MP onto a newly installed HTPC running XP (SP2). Firstly, I got the photo/picture section sorted, followed by the music section. All very good.
Now, I am onto "My Videos". I've got a couple of xvid files that play in Windows Media Player 10 (with the xvid codec downloaded from xvid.org) without a problem - full screen or not. Now, when I select the vids to play in Media Portal, the screen goes blank and the audio track can be heard. At this point, if I hit "escape" (i've not got up to sorting the remote out yet) I can see the vid playing in the little "play box".
Is this a complete newbie thing. I've not installed the ffdshow and qt lite codec tools yet, as I'd like to see how things go in stages, rather than make changes willy nilly and then crying when it all breaks.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
