Hi all, I've recently upgraded my motherboard/proc/ram .... and now (after a non-specific length of time) video playback freezes - it's driving me nuts!!! The sound keeps going and after a while the video tries to catch up - again only to freeze and stay that way. End up having to kill MP. The ironic thing was my old motherboard config actually worked quite well and it was an unsupported PIII !!! with hardly any RAM !! Just really slow GUI...so don't suggest I go back. I've seen similar posts around and have followed all the suggestions. I've tried changing out my GFX card (to a quadro 4) and sound card updating all the drivers along the way and no dice! Tried rolling back to MP 0.2.2 changing the playback options for audio&video. - It does work using an external player (like VLC) but my MCE remote doesn't work and I don't want to go down the HIP path just yet.....Please help me conquer this beast!! My specs are below and I've attached a log. let me know if I've done this right, I'm new-ish to the forums...not so new-ish to MP. ---- < Processor > Model: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+ Speed: 1.67GHz Model Number: 2200 Cores per Processor: 1 Unit(s) Threads per Core: 1 Unit(s) Internal Data Cache: 64kB, Synchronous, Write-Back, 2-way, 64 byte line size L2 On-board Cache: 512kB, ECC, Synchronous, Write-Back, 16-way, 64 byte line size < System > Mainboard: nVidia-nForce2 Bus(es): ISA AGP PCI USB i2c/SMBus Multi-Processor (MP) Support: No Multi-Processor Advanced PIC (:No System BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG Total Memory: 1023.98MB DDR < Chipset 1 > Model: Nvidia nForce2 AGP Controller Front Side Bus Speed: 2x 134MHz (268MHz) Total Memory: 1GB DDR Memory Bus Speed: 2x 134MHz (268MHz) < Video System > Monitor/Panel: Plug and Play Monitor Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 < Physical Storage Devices > ST340016A 40GB (ATA100, 2MB Ca:37.27GB (C:) ST3200822A 200GB (ATA100, 8MB :186.31GB (K:) ST340016A 40GB (ATA100, 2MB Ca:37.27GB (E:) MATSHITA CD-RW CW-7586 (ATAPI:N/A (F:) AXV CD/DVD-ROM (SCSI, SCSI-2, :N/A (H:) < MultiMedia Device(s) > Device: Realtek AC'97 Audio < Power Management > Mains (AC) Line Status: On-Line < Operating System(s) > Windows System: Microsoft Windows XP (2002) Professional 5.01.2600 (Service Pack 2) Platform Compliance: Win32 x86 < Network Services > Adapter: ASUS 802.11g Network Adapter
