This worked so my instant reaction was to think that the prev installed files were corrupt somewhere along the line. I then copied my original backed up MP folders over the new installed ones and the problem re-occured. I then decided to remove again and reinstall MP from scratch doing exactly the same thing and the problem was still there :-/ v v strange and upon further investigation it seems that what is happening is MP is minimizing to the taskbar and pausing the video, If I press play I can hear the audio and my VFD displays all info correctly. I have also just updated my ATI drivers as new drivers were released in March. I should prob also mention the PC spec:Vista 32bitPentium&nbsp; D 2160 CPU2gig RAMATI Radeon 2400 HD gfx cardAm i the first to have this issue? another quick point to make is that I can have VMR9 exclusive enabled or dissabled and playback of DVD/TV works fine just avi's fail.</blockquote>
