I have a strange problem concering Mediaportal. Beautifull piece of software by the way, I used Meedio before this, and this is much easier to setup. My problems is with Video playback. If I view video's the audio is just fine but on more than one occassion, the video itself just seems to stop for a very short period of time, roll back one frame and then continue as normal, only to repeat the same sequence a few seconds later.

I've tried the several MPEG2 decoders I could find as well as the H264 (what's the difference between those two is unclear for me btw) but that had no result. It seems like this problem occurs less when i stop my background download session with Grabit which leads me to think it's a memory / cpu problem. However, with an Intel Core2duo with E6600 (2x 2.4 GHz) and 2gb of RAM on Vista machine which has nothing else to do, this seems like a strange conclusion. I never experienced problems with MCE or Meedio in this fashion

I hope anybody has a clue as to what I'm doing wrong. I am a beginner of MP.

Thanks in advance,

Daan

One strange thing I noticed: It doesn't happen when I disable subtitles (.srt), then the image is fluent

Solution to the problem

I already solved the problem myself but i'll post the solution here for everybody to find. The problem was caused by an old version VobSub which does the .srt subtitle rendering on my computer. I downloaded and installed a new version and the problem was solved.
