Hi,

I have Vista Ultamate loaded. Loaded media portal as well. All the functions work except the video playback. As soon as I play any type of video file which media portal can play, media portal just stops working and boms out, even playing a dvd from the player. Help!!!!

Which codecs have you got setup in Mediaportal config for mpeg, these can be different for DVD, Movies and Television.

If you have divx, xvid or mkv files, install FFDShow Tryouts (latest) and Haali media splitter to be able to play those filetypes.

Under directshow filter control have you selected EVR.
