Has there been any talk about creating a plugin similar to the new music share watcher that would watch for new videos in your movie shares and automatically search IMDB and add to the database? This would be a very handy thing to have.

I have multiple shares that contain my movies so it is cumbersome to have to navigate to the proper share that has the newly added movies and individually add them to the database.

Also, the database updater in the configuration re-scans every movie in the shares every time you want to update. This should only update the newly added movies, IMHO.

nought like doing a full scan, then correcting the films that imdb got wrong

only to "re-scan" a few weeks later for half-a-dozen additions, and have your corrections overwritten as well ;-)
