I think it is a testament to the original class design, in that the Database class is properly encapsulated, that I am able to accomplish this without having to delve anywhere else (yet, at least).

It remains to check all plug-ins working with the MyVideo database, whether they will work with the new database format.

You have mentioned the MyVideo database several times, but I don't see it on my system. Which database do you mean?

This is the standard Video plugin out of the box. Videos
This database is also used by other plugins. And changes in the database can disrupt their work.

Sorry. I'm simply not seeing it. I am seeing TvMovie.dll in the plugins folder, but nothing with Video in it.

Ah. Are you talking about the TV Movie plugin. I see it now and it's optional and I haven't selected it.

Is that a recent addition, because I don't remember seeing it the last time I looked at the TV Server plugins?

No, i talking about MyVideo plugin, not TV Movie plugin.

Its main Mediaportal plugin for Movies, its not optional.

This plugin has always been, the TVSeries plugin is a separate optional plugin.
