All, I had posted over here (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/0_2_3_0_rc1_svn_dvr-p223989.html#post223989) my findings with an earlier 0.2.3 rc release, and I've been meaning to follow up in my ample spare time (right!). I can confirm that with 0.2.3 final with svn 17070, I'm getting the same results. A summary/restatement is below: I'm seeing two kinds of behavior changes in the video editor, in comparison to what existed in v0.2.2.0. My best guess is that both behavior changes are more due to the .dvr-ms playback engine than anything within the video editor. The first issue is that when the current position is moved within a video file, playback starts even if the file had been paused prior to moving. This makes setting a cut point something of a dance between arrow keys, <spacebar>, and [forward/backward] buttons. The second issue is made worse by the first. If the file playback goes to the end of the file, it is not possible to scroll back through the file and locate to any position within the file. This makes setting a cut point at the end of the file impossible. I had thought that a previous svn for 0.2.3 final (16617, perhaps?) had actually solved the second issue, so that playback stopped at the last second of a file, but that might be due to the nature of the actual file involved instead of the mechanism. What I would like to see is that once a file is paused within the video editor, it stays paused, even when the position is changed. I would also like to be able to run to the end of a file and set a cut point, and subsequently be able to scroll back through the file. I mentioned some potential solutions in my prior post, so go take a look there. And as before, let me know if you would like log files from me. Just let me know which versions/svn's you want me to use to generate the log files. And if it's user error on my part because I'm missing the magical solution, let me know that, too.
