I recently upgraded from 1.6 direct to 1.7.1 hotfix. I have a regular computer screen plugged to HTPC via DVI, then HDMI out to a Denon AVR with a TV and a projector hooked up.
I switch to the AVR using DisplaySwitch.exe hotkeyed through EventGhost.
Everything worked perfectly up to 1.7.1.
Playing any video through the AVR to TV or projector results in a serious delay in playback, sometimes over 5 minutes. But it gets stranger - it's only on the first video played back on first load of MP. Subsequent videos play promptly, and TV plays promptly regardless (doesn't change refresh rate I guess).
There's also the strange issue of MP Config Screen selector still showing my PC screen as the selected screen even when going through the AVR. This happened before the problems so probably isn't related.
After looking at the logs and playing around, disabling Dynamic Refresh fixed the issue, but it's not the solution I want. I love dynamic refresh and the smooth playback it gives me.
A similar problem seemed to exist for people a few years ago related to the MediaInfo.dll, and I note in 1.7 some things changed in that regard so I wonder if it's related.
