Good morning,

yesterday, for the first time, I tried to view an ongoing record from the beginning - and failed. What are the correct steps to do so?

What I did: I came home in the middle of a recording, I switched to the same channel (TV and timeshift buttons enabled). I hit 'i' on the remote and tried to click in the timeline at the top - this didn't work. I tried to use the "back" button and the "previous chapter" button - no success. I looked everywhere to find "view from the beginning" but I couldn't find it.

Call me stupid but I was not able to view the recording from the beginning. The only thing I found was to rewind back but this lasted for minutes.

Thank you very much.
Harald

    Hi Harald,

you have several ways to do what you want:

    1. Go to LiveTV and zap back...if that is not working, its a bug/problem. Please provide full logs then.
    2. Go to recordings, choose your recording, play from beginning.
    3. Go to MyVideos, choose your recording.

    Regards

    Thanks for your fast answer.

    Ahem, what's Zap Back?

I entered the recording with the dialogs behind the timer button. I looked into Recordings while the recording was running but there was no entry. My timed recordings show up here at the end of the recording - not during recordings.

Is it possible that these features will show up with the upcoming release? I tried several times to work with timeshift without success. Yesterday I took the risk that I loose my recording and I tried every available button and screen to search for the "Play recording from the beginning" - it's simply not there.

    Thanks
    Harald

Sorry, with zapping back i meant using your mapped buttons for back in video/TV (cursor left for keyboard).
And when you go to recorded TV the actually running recording should be in list and you should be able to watch it from there (as in MyVideos too).

If you have problems with Timeshifting you should think about your TV-Card-Driver. Since you made no entry for it, we dont know if its a current one or not.
