Hello, just a little question,
how can i configure MP, that i can use different viewing settings.
When i go in mymusic i want to see covers and when i click on a music cover i want to see the tracks as a list. could someone describe me the way how to figure this.

When i go in mymusic i want to see covers

Just select "Icons" or "Big Icons" with the "View:" button (top button in My Music - Blue Two skin)

and when i click on a music cover i want to see the tracks as a list.

Just select "List" with the "View:" button

MediaPortal will remember these settings, so the next time you enter My Music, it will be in the view you have configured.

If you have lots of albums (each in their own folder), then set the default view in MediaPortal Setup -> Music -> Music Folders -> Edit to be List, then go back into MediaPortal My Music and change the view of the album to Icons.

I'm experiencing the same thing issue here. The solution above seems to work when MyMusic-view is something else than "shares". I guess it gets the musicarchive info from a databse than, rather from reading the actual catalog structure. Problem is that I like to browse the music in the "shares" view.
Is there a way to get MP to remember the list/icon/bigicon settings then?

yes per share youe can select the list view but that applies for everything below that. See config.exe for that.

If you want specific views use the database and read the music wiki

hello, i ve the same wish, but i have more levels as the topic starter. here a example

d:\\Album\Metallica\Load\Song1.mp3
...
d:\\Album\Metallica\Load\Song20.mp3
d:\\Album\Metallica\Reload\Song1.mp3
etc

and i want this view

ALBUM -> ICON (in this Folder i see the Picture of the Artists)
ARTIST -> COVER (in this Folder i see the Cover of the CDs)
CD -> LIST (in this Folder i see all the mp3s of the Album)

i think its only possible with a Plugin or edit the database.

here my question:

a) is a plugin like this availabe ?
b) is it possible to edit the database ?
