Viewing UDP TV streams way to setup (1 Viewer)

Hi guys.

I have excellent working MP 1 1 2 without TV Server. Now I've got a TV channels from my provider looking like that
#EXTINF:-1,First ch.TV
udp://@239.195.6.17:30120

It can be successfully viewed via VLC. Would You simply explain how i can view them in MP?

Create m3u playlist and place it to tuning details folder
For Win7 its C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbip
(you can look in it for playlists already provided by MP as example)
Then open setuptv and scan channels on iptv card with your added channels playlist.
Thats all.

But is it possible without fresh install of MP?I don't want to loose MP configuration with fresh install. I really can't find out TV Server separately Where is it?

You can run MP installer then go to temp folder, find MP unpacked files and run just "package-tvengine.exe" to install tvserver.
Here it in Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy\

Well, thanks. I've got a package. Installed MySQL 5.5 and that package. But just after install got an error "gentle.config file not found" when TVS configuration was started. Bad look.

Try running setuptv with /configure-db" parameter and configure db connection

It seems to be the matter is not in db connection. I'v set it correctly (everything is green in db connection dialog) but when press save it says: Can't load generic gentle config to insert matching connection string: No root catalog

Ok, this is my gentle config
place it to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\
and repeat db config procedure
may be it helps

Dear romuz!

We are so close to success!
I've got a working TV Server, scanned my m3u list (turning of firewall helps me) , got a TV channels in TV Service configuration... Well, but MP doesn't see anything. I mean channel list in TV menu. Should I configure anything else? I really can't understand...
