Waking from S3 using USBUIRT worked perfectly on my XP system. When I boot into Vista (I have it loaded on a different HD) on the same system, without touching the hardware or BIOS, USBUIRT will not wake the PC from Standby.

I can wake Vista by touching the keyboard though, so I know generally-speaking wake from USB is working, just not my USBUIRT.

I don't have a Power Management tab for my USBUIRT device, but I don't recall if that was ever there in XP. I know in XP you also have to set the USBBIOSx registry key, but documentation for that key makes no mention of Vista.

So... what does one have to do to in order to get wake from S3 to work in Vista? I know Vista's Sleep mode is a bit different, is that a factor? My USBUIRT is blinking when I want to wake it up, it just doesn't wake the PC. I also tried the PowerCfg utility in Vista, it does not list my USBUIRT:

C:\Users\Me>PowerCfg -DEVICEQUERY wake_programmable
Logitech HID-compliant Cordless Mouse
Logitech HID-Compliant Keyboard
HID-compliant Mouse
HID-compliant consumer control device
HID-compliant device
HID-compliant device (001)
HID-compliant device (002)
HID UPS Battery
NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

Well, I figured it out, I had to disable S4 support (hybrid) and instead force Vista to use S3 (Standby).
