Hi everyone,
Is there a way to switch between visualizations through the remote control like in windows media center and not always have to go to the setup menu?
Would be nice to instead have a button marked visualize in my music screen rather than the very small icon and also have the option to switch between visualizations and even between the different variations of each of them. In mce you can use the channel up/down to switch between them, and up and down arrows to switch between variations of each viz. which I find very user friendly. I do not know if a plugin has been developed for this yet, but sure hope to see that in the future releases of MP(hopefully the developers take this into account). Also I have noticed that when you are playing a song and you switch to different menus such as the main one, the remote can't select the mini window that shows the cover art (while if you use the mouse you can select it) and even when in some skins it does in the basic menu, the screen switches to viz. while I think that the screen that should appear is where the current song playing is/open album in my music menu, and then through the visualize button you can select to visualize. In other words I think that the way windows xp mce does it is more practical, but I find MP more attractive for its' looks, features and the potential of what it has to offer. Support for viz. from winamp would also be great, although I think that some of them work already.
Still regarding the mini window that shows what's playing, when you play a video, sometimes in most of the skins it does not show in my videos screen what's playing, and I truly think it would be nice to have this small window that shows the movie playing, no matter to what menu you switch to, and that it can be highlited using the remote controler so that you can press 'ok' and switch to full screen and then 'back' to go back to the last menu.
A button labeled 'toggle' to switch to full screeen in my videos menu would be nice to have, rather than navigate to find that small icon that switches to full screen (same as with the visualizations above).
Do not get me wrong please, I do not mean to cause any hassle, but by nature I am a little picky regarding organization, practicity and simplicity. Here I am talking about making MP more user friendly and not disturb the developers.
By the way, so far MP still remains a killer comparing it to other media organizer programs around. Congratulations!
