I have a new install of MP 1.1 RC1 on a new box running Windows 7 64 bit. A lot of new, and I am now very stuck with an irritating problem. I assume it's a codec issue, but I spent hours on this yesterday trying to fix it, and ended up back where I started. Bottom line: when I play a .vob file, I have subtitles on that will not shut off. They are coming from somewhere outside of MP given the "look" of the text compared to movie subtitles. For TV Series, I have ripped individual episodes into folders, (.vob, .ifo, .bup) and have the .vob extension added to Videos->file extensions. So TV Series is playing the .vob directly. If I go to My Videos and play a .vob file, same thing - can't shut off the subs. So it isn't TV Series. If I play the .ifo directly, no problems at all. But I can't have Tv Series look for .ifo files, since there can be multiple per episode folder. Where can I start to fix this? I used Graphedit to see what codecs were in use when playing .vob files, and I used filmerit to set the merit of the suspect filter to "do not use" but it just won't go away. Maybe I need to have TV Series look at .ifo instead of .vob (any advice on doing this?). Or maybe it's something else. Any suggestions? I am really pulling my hair out over this!!! Thanks- Milhouse
