Hi,
I have an external surround sound amplifier that is driven via my MCE remote and IR Server Suite. As this is an external device, IR Server Suite passes on remote presses to it via one of the LED cables cables that connect to the MCE receiver.
I recently rebuilt my HTPC but I now remember I had to "adjust" Windows 7 as the Volume and Mute buttons on my MCE remote were not being picked up IR Server Suite. I know it took me a lot of googling to find the answer and I think it involved enabling or disabling a Windows 7 policy.
From memory it's because Windows 7 has a Mediacentre built in and grabs the key presses for that. I know I have to change a setting somewhere and was hoping someone could tell me which setting it is as this will save me many days of googling (again).
This problem has nothing to do with remapping the remotes buttons. I had this working perfectly under XP and then Windows 7 but only Windows 7 required the mod to stop it hogging the keypresses
Thanks in advance,
