Hi All!
First I have to thank you all for having this kind of mediacenter developed and offering it for free.
I have been using it since december 2006 and progression has been wonderful.

I'm Completely dummy!!! I changed my audio card ( Creative Sound Blaster Audigy to Dimond Xtrime Sound 7.1

Everything was fine...
Now I have problem with digital sound, I connected my AV receiver into optical spd/if connector of my HTPC.
When i listening music i can increase and degrease volume by RC , sound is clear and crisp but when i watching movies... When i press the volume button UP i see the bar which incising sound and i can hear clicking ( sound of clicking is increasing) but sound of movies doesn't change. I try to "play" with setting ( setting->My Video->Audio Renderer -> SRS Labs Audio Sandbox ) It start change volume but quality of sound is weird. Good sound coming only with Xtrime SoundPCIAudio device.

Some one recommend me to open MP-Configuration, General, Volume Settings, there you find two points "Master Volume" and "Wave".
Put it on Wave then you are able to control the Volume with the HTPC.
But my MP doesn't allow me to change this option. It looks like change i save session ? close setting and open again - setting changed on previous position (Master Volume)...

What was the fix for this please? Since I changed from RC4 to 1.0 I have the same problem with the Volume control Master or Wave. Cannot set to Wave it changes back to Master Volume. I need it to be set to Wave to control volume via MCE Remote otherwise volume needs to be controlled via amplifier/decoder remote.

Any clues please?

No body reply to me. I'm f...up with it. I did change Wave manual by the file ( i changed string Wave off to On )
but it doesn't helped me. I gave up and change volume by Amplifier.

Thanks. I have TV and DVD audio controlled by changing "digital = yes" in mediaportal.xml but still cannot control volume of DivX files other than amplifier remote. Using same codecs (MPA or FFDshow). Have also tried Volume Tracker application, still no good. Also, where is "wave" string?

Anybody else have any ideas?

Sorry I' kind out of theme .
You were right "digital = yes" it's mean Wave.
I suspect something with FFDshow related. Because when I'm listening music i able to change volume with my setting. Movies - no.
Sheet... Very strange no body have problem solved ?

Anyway, Marry Christmas and Happy New Year. Let's this problem will be biggest problem in your life.

Don't know if this will work for anyone, but it did for me.
I had the same issue where I would keep changing the general volume to Wave and each time it would reset to Master.
In MP Config, on the main page of Music, if you're using digital outputs and change the audio output to "5.1/7.1 audio upmix" then the Wave out volume control is disabled and only Master out will work.
I just changed it back to Stereo out and the volume control works correctly everywhere.
