wait for pmt :-1 -> what does that mean? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

can someone of the experts tell me what is the cause of "wait for pmt :-1" log entries?
Last night I wanted to record a TV program, the PC wakes up and than it writes more than 100 times the line "wait for pmt :-1" after the tuner was locked - you can imagine, that the recording was unusable

So what the hell is causing this log line? Beta SAT driver? Or wrong hardware?

Ps.: This issue causes really headache because a scheduled recording only works randomly

it seems I have the same strange behaviour, log shows all this "wait for pmt:-1" then it stops streaming and if a record was in progress it results broken.

I've found that this happened when I was using wrong PMT parameter in DVB-S tuning settings, if this happens only with some channels, just check your DVB-S settings for this channel, maybe they are not correct. this happened to me because I inserted DVB-S parametes for a channel not autotuned but I mistyped one of the values...it was exactly PMT, even with wrong PMT parameter you are able to watch the channel but it freezes randomly from time to time. now that I have written parameters correctly it seems not to freeze anymore!!
