Windows 7 SP1
MediaPortal 1.2
Hi, I have an MCE remote on my HTPC which has an internal USB IR receiver. The remote will wake my machine fine from S3 or S4 but only if i enter these states when MediaPortal is NOT running. If i enter either state while MP is running the remote wont wake my machine.
I think this is because when in Windows, device manager thinks the MCE remote is a HID device (i.e. mouse/keyboard) and these devices can wake a machine. However when MP is launched it seems to capture the device (Which i believe it needs to, to give me all the correct MCE button mappings) so Windows is left thinking the HID device has gone. Like unplugging a mouse i guess
I may be completly wrong but would like to ask if anyone else has seen/got around this?
I have a work around which involves me getting off my lazy ass and pressing the power button
