Hello Everybody,

I am absolutly in desperation and hope that anybody has an Idea.

I want to watch TV (Dolby Digital films) with my 5.1 Analog Sound equipment. Everything seems ok so far. Sound effect come out on all 6 Channels. But when the people start to talk, the speech comes out only on the center box and on the other boxes there is a stuttering noise.

I have installed AC3Filter and also tested other codecs like Power DVD Sound codec for audio, but there is the same Issue.

Does anybody know how I can get rid of this problem? There MUST be a setting somewhere.

When I watch DVD or play for example a Dolby Digital Test file then everything is ok. Speech also on all boxes. But when I watch TV speech is hashed...

Don't know about the stuttering noise, but voices are only supposed to come from the center speaker. That's really the way 5.1 is supposed to work. Not that you get the same voice all around you, that's not really surround as it was supposed to work eh..

yes, that´s true. But for example I viewed James Bond - Tomorrow never dies on TV an when they were talking in a big room, I got the echo-voices from the surround speakers. No stuttering voices. But on other films I get this Issue. Meanwhile I think it must be an Issue how the channels deploy the signal. Because on some films it works and on ohters it does not... I think I have to live with that...
