Since Tuesday I´ve got a Prob with theweather plugin. It isn´t displayed in the skin (nonafo) andcould not be updatet.
Although in the settingsmenu I get the error , that there is no chance to connect to the weather page and got a .net error!?
Can anyone confirm?

First you need to check it out with the main skins: Blue Two and MCE. If it works with those two then it is a skin issue! You will then need to post your support template into the skin topic area with your problem.

The MyWeather plugin has not been working for some days here, too. I'm using BlueTwo, and the plugin just can't get any weather data. Maybe a problem with the weather.com server or something like that? Does it work for anybody?

Well, it has always worked here and stopped doing so with the latest SVN (6/27), so I don't think it's a problem with my computer. Please try the latest SVN and see if you got the same problem.

I am useing a SVN from 27 June with no problems. Me and Mez are from the States, maybe a weather.com problem?

I did some googleing and found some other people useing different programs that scrape from weather.com haveing problems to. Might have been a change in the way out of US pages are produced.

    Hey mez,

As I wrote in my first post - I tried the mp config . exe and gave my hometown to it (Krefeld , Germany) . Then I got the message that theres a prob to connect to the weather server.
A lttle bit later , when mp is running I got a .net error , that curweather.xml couldn´t be found. So I put the xml from my backup there and run mp again. After connecting to weatherserver (I got no dates , server didn´t answer) I got the same .net error and found out , that the file isn´t there anymore. So I guess this is not a skinprob , it is a plugin / server prob , am I right?!

    Cheers

stormbringer - Using mediaportal-svn-06-29-2006--18-19.rar I updated my work system my Weather plugin is still working as is shown here:

Not sure why it appears only your system is not working. I've tried to get you to supply more information and have showed you what to provide in a post. Without the necessary info, the many people who what to help you are just guessing and I think that is one reason you have no one stepping up to try and help you. Troubleshooting blindly just gets frustrating. It could be you need to remove MP and start over again, but I am guessing because I have no other info from you to go on.

Note: As wishywashy has said in a prior post, it could be a problem with Weather.com which is affected by your location. Due to two of you having a problem, I would suggest you submit a bug in the test forum. It could be that there is an issue which a developer could resolve, but again more info will be needed to help a developer to track down the possible problem, or it could be once you look in the test forum you may find that the problem has been noted.

It still doesn't work here - and that's on two different systems, using RC2 and RC4. Since it worked flawlessly some days ago, I'm quite sure it's a server problem.
However, I'll post a report into the bug forum.

I guess I should (but don't have th etime to dig that out) look into the sourcecode to see what URL is used to obtain the data, then you could look at the URL using a browser to check it out.
