ps. many of the Plugins now will be compatible for the 1.2.Alpha Version. Can this issue happend because of that ?

Thank goodness that I have found this thread after the crashes that MP was having with the latest Streamed MP skin. I had to disable the Info Service plugin to use the skin but now I'm trying the posted dll from this thread and it seems ok as yet.

Hi all,

After a rocky start I managed to get this new DLL running and it's perfect....no crashes.

However, I had a general MP crash today which caused my PC to re-boot, and on MP startup it failed to start. I rectified the problem by replacing a corrupt Mediaportal.exe.config file from a backup, however, although everything else is working, Infoservice has died.

Funny thing is there are now 2off Infoservice icons in MP config.......and whichever one I enable it won't allow me to configure. It tells me to delete infoservice.xml and it will create a new one, but still there are 2off icons in config and still it won't work.

For now I have disabled infoservice.

Help?

Fixed.......found a backup DLL in plugins folder.

IanJ, was just here to respond to you but I saw you solved it. Two DLLs can cause trouble so you have to watch out where you put them Glad you solved this.

Closing this thread, there is a fix in the sticky until new official version of InfoService comes.
