First, do i still need this patch or is it in mediaportal already?
second, how do I install this patch? If I double click the file, windows doesn't recognise the filetype.
third, If I manage to get the patch installed, what do I have to do/change to use the upc guide flawlessly?

Hi. The delay patch should be in version 1.2.0 alpha now.
Just placing the grabber file in the NL directory should be enough in that case.
I'm still on 1.1.0 and didn't check anything lately.

Thanks for your reply! I'm on 1.1.2 but I think it's not in there yet. I hope it's in 1.2.
Could you tell how to install the patch?

Patch files are for making changes to the source files and then you have to compile it in a developer environment, resulting in new dll filles.
However, both the patch files and the resulting dll files which I also provided are based on the older version 1.1.0. It's possible that they can't be used just like that without modificatons and recompiling.
I'll have to setup an environment here again to check and work on it.
I've no idea ow to do that but just to let you know: placing the grabber file in the correct folder and mapping it to some channels (12 in my case) doesn't work. Only the first and later on some other channel get grabbed, the rest isn't.
