Hey all,

I'm trying to get WebEPG working for my EPG. The config tool sets everything up correctly, and when I execute WebEPG.exe, it seems to take an apropraite amount of time to download my listings, however, no tvguide.xml exists on my system after WebEPG exists.

I'm not a n00b. I have had this working in the past, but in RC2, it no longer works :( any suggestions?

Thanks,
Beechus

Look for the tv guide data in c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\team mediaportal\mediaportal\xmltv

or the vista equivalent.. there is a post recently somewhere discussing this... worth searching for

    Thanks

I've tried searching with no luck :( could you link me? Cheers mate.

The only file in the location you suggested is my TV channels mapped to the correct listings. the tvguide.xml file is no where to be found on my system :(

    I have the same problem

I updated from Version 2.3 an the xmltv folder was kept.
Then i uninstalled everything. And reinstalled RC2 and there was no xmltv folder.
When I start webepg it connects to the internet but there is no writing file in the whole system.

    Thanks for helps

You'll find the WebEPG and XMLTV files by going Start -> ... -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> [User files]

My advice is to redo everything concerning WebEPG, since using old files may not work.

My installation of MediaPortal RC2 is on a clean machine, which has never had MediaPortal installed before.

I found that the listings where infact output to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv - however they were not output to the standard location which frodo's XMLTV plugin suggests they should be (and where they were in RC1).

Pointing the plugin to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv solved my problem :)

    Thanks for your help guys.
