I'm trying to understand why my programming guide ends up blank at some point. I'm assuming this is because WebEPG isn't being run on a periodic basis, and therefore the TVGuide isn't being repopulated. I've gone into mediaportal config, WebEPG grabber plugin, and checked each day for 00:00, and have assumed an update would occur every day. Obviously, my empty guide suggests otherwise. So, does mediaportal actually have to be running every day for WebEPG to work? What is in control of launching WebEPG, if not mediaportal? The TV server? Should I just set up a scheduled event in Windows, if I don't want to have mediaportal running all the time? Please enlighten me as to how one sets things up properly to get a fresh guide every day.
