from you latest render, there is no video mkv decoder - it has the audio and subtitle streams sorted.

you tried re-registering CoreAVC? be worth going through your FFDshow install and removing x264 stuff to force pc to use CoreAC which is the best decoder.

as for graphedit, download it, run it, choose file > render media file then show all files and browse to the mkv. this will give you a good graphical representation of what gspot has told you. ie. there's no mkv decoder!

there should be 3 outputs with the graph (i couldn't open the grf neither) - upload screenshot. 3 outputs - directvobsub for sub stream, ffdshow for audio and coreavc for video. you should then be able to press the play button on the top bar in graphedit to see how it plays.

if you have 2 or less outputs, try inserting the filter (be under direct show filters) - if CoreAVC is not listed, then is def a problem with that codec.

hope this helps

this is how it should look. mkv -> coreavc -> video renderer

ffdshow is confusing matters along with the subtitle stream. i would use dvobsub for subtitles, not ffdshow. i reckon if you sort out your ffdshow config, you'll be sorted.

i can't really help with that cos i don;t use it - the only reason it's on my pc is vista codec pack installs a cut down version of it. i removed all x264 stuff. i'll bet if you uninstall ffdshow, you'll get a great video but no audio.

play the mkv in zoomplayer and check the audio filter there and download seperately from free-codecs.com or somewhere, then get xvid/divx/ac3/aac decoders and forget ffdshow. or config ffdshow not to interfere. shall i say ffdshow one more time.. :)

I uninstalled ffdshow but i think my problem is coreavc. Can i see your configuration.

Because mine says something about xform in and yours dont. I dont understand why

Ok i had uninstalled ffdshow and then i got to show where coreavc sent it directly to render. Which was good but i still had the subtitle problem.

Then i downloaded direct vobsub and now it looks like this :(

that looks better (yours). mine below is with vobsub too (i presume your 002 is too) - right click and properties to check.

my coreacv hardly has any settings - is v1.5.0.

maybe you have a haali splitter problem?

flv files? now you're taking the p!ss :)

no idea.

glad it worked. i think ffdshow is good in a simple system, but when trying to prioritise codecs, it can be annoying. i prefer to be in control and if i need a codec, i'll get it installed.
