What about integrating support for AMD stream? (1 Viewer)

With the november Catalyst drivers AMD opened up for "Stream" a way to use the GPU to help the CPU to run applications. Wouldn't this open up for GPU-decoding of media that isn't really supported for GPU decoding? I see that Arcsoft TMT will have integrate this so there has to be something there.

This would open up for even more effective use of the CPU, and perhaps one could be satisfied with one of them Athlon 64 2000 CPUs thats even more effective then the Intel Atom for everything?

Or is this too late for MP1 and perhaps something that will be considered for MP2 instead?

Frameworks like Stream and Cuda are only useful for parallel calculations.
MP itself wouldn't benefit from such functionalities, only the codecs would (and those are not developed by the MP team).

Ok, so if Arcsoft includes this with TMT then that should mean that it's the TMT codecs that will support Stream?
