What am i doing wrong? (1 Viewer)

I'm running MP on two different computers with the same problem. In setup i select "keep media portal on top" this enables the stepping (+15 sec, +30 sec,...) in videos, without it i have to use the mouse to click on the full-screen video to draw focus for every new video played. Now, my problem is how do i keep the stepping in videos working and use an external DVD. The two programs fight for focus, and Media Portal wins, rendering the DVD software (theatertek) useless. What are your general configurations?

Everything started working on its own. I switch skins and it worked in Bluetwo then switched back and everything works perfectly...
