What OS is best supported for optimal use?

- Vista
- XP prof
- XP mce 2005

I have a HTPC which is original supplied with MCE 2005, I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate.
I also have a Windows XP prof license from my normal desktop system which I do not use anymore because I am running Linux on this desktop.

In the FAQ is not clearly specified what the optimal or minimal environment specifications are for using mediaportal, so therefore my question:
Which OS can I best use to run mediaportal on so all option works fine?

I want to use:
- mce mouse and keyboard
- MCE (avermedia) dual TV card
- All my media files are stored locally on a LINUX file server which can be accessed using SAMBA share
- I must be able to stream all my media also remote, to my work (using my laptop with Linux) by Internet

I hope someone can advise.

At the moment, the best solution is probably the MCE one This automatically includes the MS fix for more than one tuner.
If you use XP, then you have to manually run the DVBFix script to update some DLLs that MS doesn't seem to think XP users need.

Vista is meant to have some better gfx quality for displaying videos, but it also introduces some other issues.

My money is on MCE for you, but I am sure there will be many other opinions as well.
