I have a radeon x1300 pro running so I mainly use the avivo codec from radeon which has some excellent performance with a radeon x1x00 card.  I did also download k-lite codec full pack which pretty much offers support for every codec and package file excepet for MKV.  K-Lite does support ffdshow heavily but also comes with the popular alternatives for everything to like the cyberlink codec, divx, xvid, quicktime, reaplayer, etc...
