When you are in the control panel for analog scanning there is a tickable option "Don't merge channels with same name".

Is this to...

a.)... inhibit 2 or more found analog channels into one channel or

b.)... is is to inhibit merging an analog channel with a DVB- or other digital channel?

Some analog channels have the same name but are on different frequencys and really are different channels. Like here in Sweden some Swedish Television channels where named only "Swedish Television" so if you didn't tick that box you only got one of four channels... it does only that and nothing else, so do tick that box
