before I go and report any of these as bugs, I just want to find out what is the correct behavior. is MP doing the right thing already or not?

It appears that now the only option for comskip is to have it skip automatically (can no longer use the DVD next and previous chapter buttons), is this deliberate. does anybody know what to adjust to make comskip not chop off all the intros to all programs/movies (probably belongs on a comskip form, but I'm here now).

If I kill MP with task manager, it shows the test tool, as if it crashed. I can understand how this can happen but is it right?

it the antenna it not properly connected (no signal) then MP has errors saying cannot create graph, this happened the other day and I presumed it was MP doing something again but found it to be just a bad connection. What should happen, obviously it can't operate properly, "no audio/video detected" seems to be used for a generic failure and wouldn't have prompted me to check the connections, any better ideas?

    I had the same problem today and i found that the only way to stop is to disable watchdog.

    I thought that might fix it,I changed the setting but haven't checked it it worked, it sounds like it does. I guess thats basicly what that checkbox is for then.

    some more items;
    in mediaportal setup there is a divide between the main area and the OK, cancel etc buttons. I have noticed that it turns red after setup has a problem. this cause not disadvantage what so ever but seems a bit strange, wondering if it is deliberate.

    If I am watching a program and go to the TV guide (TV showing in a box in the corner) highlight a different program and press the record button on my remote, the program I am watching, not the highlighted program gets recorded. if this is correct, how should I start recording another program without stopping my current program (it may be timeshifted, so I can't just come back to it)?
