Hi there....

I see in the forum, that people (like my self) are adviced to turn of the Hauppauge remote, there somehow causing a little group of us some problems with MP......

What is the problem ??
Is it a driver problem, or a MP software problem, or something ??
Is it perhaps a problem that can be fixed before the next official release of MP.... I know that the programmers have a lot of work to do, and they do a really great job, i only ask about this to figure out if i should buy an other remote to my system...... :D

If i should buy an other remote, what should i then buy ??
(A cheap one pleace.... )

Trust me we are looking at it... none of the Devs can reproduce the problem... but there are several guys like you with the sqllite exception error in the Log.

We are having a problem at the moment trying to understand how the remote is causing an Sqllite problem so please bear with us...

There doesnt even seem to be any common factors

    Thanks

    Steve

Well, not all forum hints are that good. That one is one of the "false hints" category. It was more a test to see WHAT is causing YOUR problem.

Definately wrong. Only a handful of people have ONE single problem.

So no reason to panic (Not very useful for new users either, btw).

You always have to keep in mind that most people post here when they got problems, not when all is working as it should. So you easily get the impression if you don't know MP and take a look at the forum, that MP is one of the most crappiest piece of software. Judging from the number of reported "bugs" here.
So don't get the impression, it's not true.

Ok, i have now changed the "statement" a little, so it don´t look that bad now..... :D

No, i actually think that MP is a great piece of software :!: , and don´t see that many bug´s at all, and thats even thoug i try a lot of CVS, to see all the new things......

I can say that i will use MP also if i do end up with having to buy a new remote to solve the little problem..... :!:
But ofcource i hope that there will be a solution to the problem at some point....

Thanks to both of you for your answers.....

As Steve said, we're still working on it, I don't think you'll have to buy a new remote. If you wanna buy one, we'd suggest a european MCE 2005 remote from Microsoft.

Yes i saw that, that is really nice to know, as i actually decided to buy the PVR150 and not the 150MCE, just becource the remote control was in the package......

Good to know, i´ll see what will happen later on.....
As for now, i have a ATI Remote Wonder on my system that i use instead.....
(I have for a long time used both the Hauppauge in the livingroom and the ATI in the bedroom, both on the system at the same time, and it worked great..... )
