    Hey,

    here is my problem:

I have installed SVN + MCE Replacement 1.0.3.1 and configured the plugin. Verified that my IR is working. By testing it when learning the IR codes (which made me smile with glee!). Now in MP I have changed the TV setup for the Television and set my channels (from XMLTVNZ) as "external from STB" and set the channel as per the STB.

But when I go into the guide it doesnt change channel when I go in.

Is there a walk through or a HOWTO? Or am I doing something stupid again? :p

I have included the log file from MP and it says "blast - successful" or something similar ....

    Cheers

    Andy

If you have an MCE remote, have you attached the little cable to the MCE receiver and put the end of it over the STB's receiver? You will see this end 'flash' red when you push a button on the remote. This enables the MCE receiver to send it's signals to the device you want to control.
If you have done this, then I do not know what your issue, sorry.
FYI. My setup sends signals to my TV and Amp to turn them on and off.

    Cheers,

I know that the IR blaster is working as when I go into the plugin and click test, it does change channel. I do have the replacment driver working etc. So I am sort of stumped as to why it wont work.

Is there anything other that I have to do?

I have the lastest plugin installed
    I have the lastest SVN
I have configured my channels as for "external" from "STB" and given it the correct channel name.
    The Plugin is enabled.

The latest (as of a day or so ago) MCE Replacement Driver (MCERD) doesn't work for me. It takes every click and doubles it, i.e I click Down and it goes Down like I clicked Down twice.
Anyway, I haven't used an external STB with MCERD so I am unsure of this functionality. I'd just try mapping the IR command to another button to to see that it works that way.
The reason I say this is that I doubt the MCERD would know (or care) what actual device it is sending signals to.
Then if that works, you'll know it's an issue with the MCERD and it's use of 'external' and 'STB'.

    Good luck,

I am not using the XP replacment driver but the Vista replacement driver which I dont think has been updated in quite some time....

Let Aaron know about your prob and I am sure he will find the resolution.
