I finally got my HTPC working with my hardware... with help from people on this forum... THANK YOU!

Now that I have my PCTV2GO and MP working correctly and I can watch TV, movies and music... I would like to learn how I can make my Video movies (DivX Collection) look nicer. Currently it's just a list of files from the server where I keep my movies and music. From screen-shots I see of other users, I see you can configure your movie and music collection with graphics and information.

Can someone point me to how I can do that also? I've read everything within MP manual but it is awfully lacking. In fact, there are so many options and configuration within MP that I have no idea what they mean and I don't see any documentation or help to explain them.

But now I think I would like to learn how to "Pretty-UP" my movie database and then the Music database.

    Thanks again!!!!

It sounds like you are using the Share view of My Movies. That just gives you a list like Windows Explorer.

You need the movie database. In MP Config, go to movies->database. You can just hit scan, and it will scan your movie folders, try to get a match from IMDB, prompt you when it can't, download cover art, etc. If you want to tweak anything, you can go to the Editor tab of the database screen and manually edit. Or manually add movies, too - I manually add all of mine so it displays how I want it.

Then when you are on the My Videos screen, change the view to Title. Voila!

Similarly, for Music you also need to do a scan in Config. You have have the music scan extract cover art from within the MP3 tags, if that's where you've got them, or from folder.jpg images within folders. If you want to get fancy and add artist images, you can also use the Audioscrobbler plug configuration (still within MP config) to download artist images and missing album cover art. And again, change the view from Share to Artist, Album Artist, or Album (or any other database view).

Milhouse... one quick question... should have asked before. On the MP config screen there is a field called "Pin code" when you select another folder where your video's are stored. Do you know what this is? thanks...

You can set a pin code so that when you go to Shares, select a share from the list, you are prompted for a pin code before you can actually browse that folder. Like if you want to keep your kids from mature content. Not sure how well it works - haven't used it myself.
