Hi all,

I recorded a test program yesterday, and though I can watch it from the TV/Recordings Menu, I can not find the 'physical file' on the hard disk. I only find a little 13 KB file with the DVR-MS extension, but I don't know where is the real file, that should be several hundreds of MB big.

I want to edit the file and export to a different format, and I would like to do so in other machine, so I'm interested in finding the recorded file and transfer it to a different PC.

Is this possible?

Did you look at the settings for recording folders?

Explanation for TV Server can be found here.

Sounds like you did a manual recording, this saves everything as .sbe files which are hidden system files in your recording folder with the link that you can see, this is how M$ dvr-ms works (MP's inbuilt TV engine is based around).

To get a complete file you can see and edit, try using the compress feature that is found under the recorded TV section.

Hoping this still works, have not used for a long time.
