I've decided to turn my HTPC into a PVR.

I've been playing with XBMC alot, which led me to mediaportal.

My question is what analog capture cards are being used by the mediaportal team for active development? What is Frodo using?

If I had to guess I would guess Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150MCE or Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-500MCE because they are so cheap.

I want to put 4 tuners in my HTPC. Suggestions?

I figured I would just use what the mediaportal team uses.

If you look at Frodo's profile (or pick a developer) and look at thier profile: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/member.php?u=10277

    You will then see:
    DVine 5 HTPC Case
    AMD 64bit 2800+ ,1GB memory, NVidia FX5200, 250GB HD, Asus K8VSE
    OS: Window XP SP2
    tvcards: FireDTV-C, FireDTV-T, Hauppauge PVR 350, Hauppauge PVR USB2
    remote:MCE 2005

    I should have bet you!

I've never used it, nor have I seen a review, and it isn't yet supported in MP (though probably because nobody has one yet, the other VBox products are well supported), but I think you should go with the VBox Cat's Eye 164e (http://www.vboxcomm.com/product3.htm). That is, if you have 2 PCIe 1x slots open.

I would also suggest 2xHauppage 500MCE, the hauppage line is extremely well supported in MP. However, i would also suggest moving to digital TV ;)
