Hi,

Any users from the UK watching BBC HD?

I'm using the CoreAVC 1.9.5 codec and can't seem to get it working in Vista with delinterlacing enabled.

If I enable deinterlacing then I only see part of the image enlarged across the whole screen. If I set deinterlacing on the CoreCodec config screen to "weave" and set the fallback deinterlacing to anything in MP ocnfiguration then I get deinterlacing artefacts i.e. no deinterlacing.

I've tried a variety of other codecs without success.

I'm sure BBC HD used to work but think they've recently changed their encoders?

If anyone had BBC HD working perfectly with deinterlacing, please can you let me know what codec you use?

Thanks,

Neil.

You might want to check across the forum, but I believe I read that people could use the trial version of the PDVD9 H.264 codec fine in MediaPortal but not the version of the codec included in the full retail version.

I'm using the version of the PDVD9 codec installed by the freely available "HD Pack 2" package. No need to buy a full version of PDVD9 - in fact you don't even need the trial version, the HD Pack just installs the codec.

There is also apparently a way to make the free PDVD9 codec visible in MP by manually registering the dll, but installing the HD Pack does it for you. Works for me. I've got the deinterlacing set to "best" in MP, then forced vector deinterlacing in the ATI driver (I think you can do the same for nvidia as well).
