Which .net framework please (1 Viewer)

I have to re-install Media Portal after a clean install of XP Home.

I find I need .net framework things again.

When I went to the first download link i.e. for .net framework SP2 it says

"The links in this section correspond to separate files available in this download. Download the files most appropriate for you."

I am sorry but I do not remember which of the three I got, or how I decided, before. Please advise.

P.S. The log attachment is an old one from before the XP install.

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 should be the one you're looking for.

Also make sure DirectX ist up-to-date.

If that is all I need that is great.
I'm hesitating as after the clean XP install I am keen keep the system squeeky clean and the MPortal install instructions say I need •Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 •Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 . Then, when you go to the MS download site it says (as I understand it) 3.5 depends on 2.0 and some other thing too.
When I had MPortal installed previously some problems emerged after a while and I do not want a repeat of that.

just install 3.5 sp1 then run the installer. thats all you need to do.

Thanks Neo2001 and etheesdad. That's two for ignoring the MP Manual (and, heaven forbid, Microsoft too). I will simply get 3.5 SP1.

No offence Neo2001 ( the Blue Jays are my favorite baseball team) , but it seems etheesdad is from Adelaide and so am I, so of course I believe him

This Manual business can be exasperating... I'm damned if I do follow it and damned if I don't! I will lodge a "bug" report over this .net framework issue.
